Another date for your diary: we’ve got a great gig at The Social on September 4 from Charlie Boyer (the one from Electricity In Our Homes, not Yeti Lane) with support from Temples and guest DJ Rhys Webb of The Horrors.
Charlie Boyer played a show for us earlier in the year, and blew everyone away with his rough and ready mix of Television, Happy Mondays and The Horrors. He’s now recording for Heavenly with his newly christened backing band The Voyeurs, but his debut solo single for Blank Editions is available on his Bandcamp now.
Newcomers Temples are something of a revelation, like a cross between ‘Sally Cinnamon’-era Stone Roses and The Turtles. We don’t know what they look like, or anything about them other than they are really young and this is only their second ever gig. We think it would probably be a good idea not to miss it.
