Spectres have made a video for their song ‘Welcoming The Flowers’.
It premiered earlier today on The Line Of Best Fit alongside a new interview in which frontman Joe Hatt, who also directed, explained that the video was a eulogy for the band’s legendary van, which was finally scrapped earlier this year.
“We’ve always wanted to do a video for this song. It eulogises the death of our van and its long goodbye,” he told the website. “We felt a fitting send-off would be to film a video inside it. The song itself is related to a pretty horrific traffic incident, so it all ties in quite well.
“The van was a big part of our lives, but this video really puts an end to that whole aesthetic. It’s Spectres by numbers but with added Vaseline…”
‘Welcoming The Flowers’ will also feature on the band’s new WTF EP, which will be released next month. Look out for more details soon.
