This is the front cover of the best-looking record you will see next year. It’s the ‘Psych For Sore Eyes’ EP, it is coming out on February 18, 2013 and it contains six tracks of modern psychedelia, all mastered by Sonic Boom.
After turning the spotlight on other albums from this year, it seems only fair that we blow our own trumpet a little bit. Here’s a set on the new fangled SoundCloud featuring a track from every one of our 11 releases in 2012.
Here’s our latest Broad Church mix, as broadcast last night on Strangeways Radio, featuring one song from each of our 20 favourite albums of the year, all (almost) seamlessly mixed together.

Everyone else is doing it, so we thought it was about time to wade in with our 20 favourite non-Sonic Cathedral albums of 2012. In no particular order here are the first 10 – the others will be revealed tomorrow.

Filmmaker Eric Green has launched a Kickstarter to help finish his shoegaze documentary ‘Beautiful Noise’ which has been in the works for eight years now. He is aiming to raise $75,000 to help with music licensing costs.
Sonic Cathedral will have a stall at the Independent Label Market this Saturday (December 1) and, as well as some damn fine records, we will also have edible items – including the gingerbread ‘gazers above – for sale.
Yeti Lane’s album ‘The Echo Show’ now comes with a seven-track bonus disc, containing exclusive songs, remixes and alternative versions. They have also made a new video for the title track, premiered yesterday on The Quietus.
There are no more tickets left for Cheval Sombre’s one and only UK show of 2012 at St Pancras Old Church in London tonight – and there won’t be any on the door either. If you were lucky enough to get one, times are below.
