Cheval Sombre’s fourth album, Days Go By, is out today (May 28) – it’s his second new album this year, and a companion piece to Time Waits for No One, which came out at the end of February to great acclaim. Like that album, it has been produced and mixed by Sonic Boom and features guests including Galaxie 500 and Luna frontman Dean Wareham.
It’s a stunning album, but don’t just take our word for it, there have already been some amazing reviews:
“It’s a stark and beautiful affair, hanging like mist at dawn” – Uncut 4/5
“Where Time Waits… darkly reflects on tempus fugit, this disc’s relatively breezy in transcending temporal worry” – Mojo 4/5
“These ghostly blues evoke Big Star’s Sister Lovers by way of Spacemen 3” – Shindig! 4/5
